Starting with the Women's Strength Program, Sean made sure that all our ladies knew how to handle the Steel in the gym; from patiently teaching those who had never lifted before to honing the technique of those who had, it certainly gave our players the confidence to pick up the weights and add new but very relevant elements to their workouts.
The girls have been tested, beasted and pushed to the limit with the S&C sessions which have certainly payed dividends out on the field, their football positions are lower, they are certainly more mobile, and we definitely don't tire like the other players do, always having something left in the tank whether it be for one more touchdown or a big hit! It has certainly been noticeable in training, and the Steelers have stood out at Great Britain trials this year!
The sessions are cleverly planned with sport specific exercises designed to push you enough to feel worked but not so that you lose technique or motivation, perfect for American Football, a game that demands highly technical skills and fitness to be maintained for up to 3hrs!
Our Women Of Steel can't wait to compete this summer to put their hard work to the test and hopefully thank Sean with some game winning Touchdowns!
